Linton Bergsen:

Welcome to the Self-Realized Podcast with Linton Bergsen, where you will shatter your limits. I am not much into the self-help industry as much as I'm into the self-realized individual, which is you, what matters most to you, how you get there and the obstacles that may be in your way. If you would like to be part of this podcast and part of that discussion, I welcome you here with an open heart, open mind and open arms. So, without further ado, let's get on with the podcast. Thank you for taking your valuable time and energy to join me on episode 90 of the Self-Realized Shatter your Limits podcast, Command Central Reclaiming Your life's Direction.

Linton Bergsen:

Sometimes I think you would agree that we lose direction in life. However it occurs, we need to get back on track. We can lose direction from adversity. We can lose direction because of lack of focus. We can lose direction because we don't have clear set goals. Direction is something that we seek because we want to know, to some extent, where we're going. We want to know how we're going to get there and we want to know that the outcome that we're seeking can be achieved. All of those things require us to think about what direction do you and I want to take in our life. Where are we headed? Where is the roadmap? Bigger question that I would suggest occurs within all of us is where are we making those decisions from? Where is our command central operating from? Are we making them from a limited belief system or are we making them from a place of awareness, self-awareness, self-realization? Because if you're not making your decisions from the right place, you're going to end up at the wrong destination. Let me give you a suggestion that will lead you, I believe, in the right direction to make the correct decisions for you. It's based in a deep spiritual understanding and awareness that once you master and begin to understand it at the very core and depth of your own being and self, you will have a different realization, self-realization about how you begin to move in a direction that you may be totally unaware of, you may be not even thinking about in a conscious way or level at this time, because it is not inculcated and ingrained in your consciousness and in the very cells of your being.

Linton Bergsen:

When you make a decision, contemplate on this for a moment. Do you make your decisions and the direction you're going to take in life upon fear or faith? Contemplate on that for a quick second faith, and I will give you a acronym for that which I have come up with following all intuition to hope, fear, false evidence appearing real. Which one are you making your decisions from, and when you think about that and contemplate on that for a moment. Faith-based decisions don't really have a limit as to how the outcome may look. It's based upon a sense of what it is you feel that you can do and the direction you can take.

Linton Bergsen:

Fear-based decisions are based upon you keeping control, not stepping out of your own box, out of your own limitations, but keeping yourself in a controlled environment, in a controlled thought process, which is not really allowing you to expand the direction that you can go in. It's keeping you limited. Expansion allows you to move in many different directions. If you think about something expanding, it expands outward, like the universe, like the galaxy. It can continue to expand. It's an awareness. When you base your decisions on faith, you're basing all your decisions and your direction. You're putting command and control into the universe. You're allowing the universe to be the command central of the manifestation of what it is you're trying to accomplish, as opposed to fear. Where you are not expanding, you are constricting, you are restricting yourself from experiencing what is truly available. So reclaiming your life's direction is really reclaiming your entire ability to be self-realized as an unlimited, faith-based individual. When you are setting directions in your life For example, if I were to ask you if you're not in a relationship what it is?

Linton Bergsen:

You would not in a relationship, what it is you'd like in a relationship contemplate for a moment what you may write down. If you are in a relationship, you may want to write down the direction you'd like it to continue going in the future. If you have children, then you might want to write down direction of where you would like to see their life progress into the future. And if you have a work environment that you're in, again same thing the direction that you would like to see yourself going in your career, as well as in your health and many other areas. When you write these lists down and you begin to look at them, contemplate on this for a moment. Is there any guarantee that any of that will happen? Is there any sense of control that you have that all the goals, all the ideas, everything that you've written down so far, will actually happen? They are the directions that you would like to see your life manifest.

Linton Bergsen:

Your command central is based upon you being able to direct your life in the way that you would think would work out best for you. The problem with doing that is that you don't really have any control that that's going to happen. Nobody does. So when you look at reclaiming your life's direction, I have a suggestion for you, something I've done in my life. When you look and consider the first two words of this episode Command Central who or what do you call define? Begin to articulate in your own mind, begin to become self-aware of. Articulate in your own mind, begin to come self-aware of, can begin to really identify with as the source of your command central. And the most important word there is the source of your command central.

Linton Bergsen:

This episode is suggesting that you reclaim your life's direction. And how do you go about reclaiming something? It means that you haven't claimed it yet. You reclaim something by re-identifying where it is that your direction comes from and the source of what it is that you are seeking direction from. Your command central is not you. Your command central is a divine source of energy that is funding you the direction in your life, because, as we can see, through world events that are continuing to unravel and unfold around us. Nothing that we have as a direction in life can occur as we thought it would, without some type of uncertainty, intervention or adversity. We are unable, at any time in our life, to really understand what is going to happen on a daily basis. Success in life is accepting that that you don't understand on a daily basis what is going to happen. Reclaiming your life's direction means that you free yourself up to be open to any direction that your life goes into, because your command central is based on faith and not fear. And when you begin to understand that faith is a driving force, the pinnacle behind your life and its direction, it frees you up to live in a different way. Let me explain that to you.

Linton Bergsen:

Let's say that I was looking at a relationship or anything in life that is a fabric of who I am and who we all are. I might write down certain things about the job a person has, the way they look, the family they come from, the spiritual or religious background that I feel that they may have to belong to for me to be part of being in a relationship with them, the political aspirations that they go towards. All these things I write down. Those are things that I want. Let's say I was to approach life from a different direction and my command central within myself wasn't really about identifying any particular specificity, what things need to look like, but how I needed to grow, how I needed to feel. Let me explain that to you. Let's say I was looking for a partner that would challenge me, that would make me think out of the box, that I could work with on growing and developing myself. That would be uncomfortable, that would make me think differently, that, no matter what, I was always able to relate to this individual on a soul level, which was much more important to me than anything else.

Linton Bergsen:

What if what they look like wasn't the most important thing, but who they are, their character? What about if their religious or spiritual affiliations didn't matter as much as how they actually lived their life? What if the amount of money they made wasn't as important as who they are? Because, ultimately, you could have someone who makes a lot of money and they cheat on you all the time. What good is that to you? You could have someone who makes a lot of money and they cheat on you all the time. What good is that to you? Not, of course, that money isn't important, but it's not the driving factor from your command central. As a self-realized individual, you understand that.

Linton Bergsen:

So reclaiming your life's direction is really reclaiming what it is that you're looking for and in your own command central, your own soul, essence of who you are, what is it truly that you are trying to fulfill? Looking at command central and reclaiming your life direction simply means this when are you coming from, where are you commanding yourself, operating from, to come up with the direction that you want? And are you reclaiming your life's direction from a value standpoint, a spiritual standpoint, or are you looking at it from a physical standpoint, predominantly a material outcome? When we go into this world, predominantly a material outcome. When we go into this world, we need to be satisfied, we need to be happy, we need to be fulfilled and we cannot, if we keep pursuing just outer manifestations, ever get to that point of self-realization. The most important aspect of your life, my life, is inner happiness, inner peace.

Linton Bergsen:

We know by just looking around us that possessions, people, external circumstances and situations are totally unpredictable. The only thing that is predictable that you can possibly have in your command central, in your control, is developing faith in yourself, that which created you, and knowing that, no matter what happens, no matter how well thought out your plans, that you are able to deal with any and everything because you are working on that faith-based place within yourself that says I have always wanted to be in a place that I trust myself to overcome anything that presents itself to me. Because I have always seeked out the path that would lead me into using faith, which means that you've challenged yourself, you've taken the risks, you've put yourself on the line, you've looked at the abyss and still gone forward because you had the faith within yourself to do it. The beauty of living that faith-based existence not looking at external gratification, but internal realization is that when we go into life and we have worked that muscle thoroughly, the unknown becomes the known. Why do I say that? How can I say that? Why do I say that? How can I say that? Because the unknown is always going to deal with faith.

Linton Bergsen:

The unknown is based on having that solid inner sanctuary that says I don't know what's going to happen. I'm looking at an abyss here, but your faith may be tested. It always will be, because that's just how we are constructed. You can say you have it until one day you really have to have it tested to see if you do. But I can guarantee you this in your life and in my life, everything centers around a spiritual awareness. Whether we admit to it, whether we define it, whether we understand it, situations and circumstances are always going to drill us down to circumstances we have no control over and building our muscle of faith.

Linton Bergsen:

And what I really, really want for you to get out of this episode is this your command and control center in reclaiming the direction of your life is not trying to control the outcomes of your life, not trying to manifest things only on your terms. Understand that having goals are great, having a nice house is great, having a great relationship is great, but any time in our lives, all of those can implode at a moment. We have no idea what could happen to our mate. We have no idea what could happen to our children. We have no idea what could happen to our house. We have no idea what could happen to our job. Uncertainty is the only thing you are guaranteed in this life. Uncertainty is an absolute, ongoing occurrence. Especially now is an absolute ongoing occurrence, especially now. No-transcript.

Linton Bergsen:

I know that no matter what happens, whatever direction my life takes, I am going to work with the source of all creation to guide me faithfully through every situation I find myself in. Because I'm doing my work now in meditation, in quietness, in as much solitude as I can find, and removing myself from the ego, the material world, and reducing myself to that inner sanctum of surrender to forces greater than myself, which is what we are all basically every day involved in, to manifest every day in everything I do. Living there as your command central becomes a habit after a while. It doesn't mean that you ever really get truly comfortable with it. I've always had this place in me that I have faith. I have a lot of it.

Linton Bergsen:

But sometimes I look at the abyss and the gaping hole is so big it's a chasm. And how am I going to cross this chasm? How does this possibly occur now? I mean, I have that thought, but I always come back to my command central to say you know what I don't know I've never known, because I've worked on it my whole life. I've had this reference point, like any habit, that I'm comfortable with the unknown, because I've lived there so many times, never panicked, never gone into anxiety. And the only way you begin to get to that normalcy of not going into panic and anxiety when you're faced with the unknown is to have experienced that when you are faced with the unknown, it always worked out, it always came good somehow, and that you didn't have to figure out all the details, you just had to have faith. You just had to have surrender.

Linton Bergsen:

And when you're reclaiming your life's direction, when you're looking at living life at its fullest, what you are really reclaiming is that any direction life takes you in, you have the faith to know it's the right direction and that the source, your command central, is watching over you to take you down to the next journey and adventure in your life. That is why the title of this episode is Command Central Reclaiming your Life's Direction. Make sure your command central is always based in the self-realization that there is a source much bigger than you watching over you, guiding you, helping you. As long as you acknowledge it, as long as you acknowledge that you need help, that you are not the doer, that you are constantly at this place of surrender in your life, things will work out. Your direction in life is based upon how much faith you have.

Linton Bergsen:

Your demise in life is based upon how much fear you have. It's always going to be that simple decision Faith, following all intuition to hope. When you have hope, you have a lot of optimism. Hope my acronym for it is having optimistic, positive expectation. Fear, as I mentioned earlier, false evidence appearing real. Just choose which one of those you want to have as the operating center for your command central. Then, when you've decided that you can now reclaim your life's direction based upon fear or faith, with hope being the pivotal place that you live, because without hope you can't do anything. You become anxious, you have despair. So follow your dreams, make your goals, but ultimately know that your command central and reclaiming your life's direction is something that is an ongoing journey every single day, because I've taught myself this simple lesson and I'm sure that you can relate and will associate with it Expect the unexpected, because it is inevitable. It's just how you meet it that will dictate your life's direction.
