Linton Bergsen:

It's not about magical thinking. It's about uncovering true, real steps that lead to a self-realized, fulfilling life. And that is what any self-realized individual is always seeking a self-realized, fulfilling life, that they can lead on their terms. Today, I would like to challenge you on what you think you know and reveal to you how one simple principle consistency, can transform everything, debunking the myth of complicated procedures and processes that you need to put in place to have the wealth, health and happiness that you need. The true secret to your success and everything that you would like to have in life is one word consistency. The reason I say the secret to wealth, health and happiness is consistency is because a lot of people want to make it a lot more complicated than that. It's a simple secret to great success. If you are truly tired and fed up of receiving advice that sounds good in the moment but has no real long-term benefit to your life, and wants something more impactful and sustainable, you are in the right place. Take a deep breath. My suggestion is be very receptive to what I am presenting to you today and let us begin this journey together.

Linton Bergsen:

Why do we sometimes not get the results that we would like? Why are we getting things wrong? You've heard it a thousand times. Find your passion, chase your dreams. Yet why do most people struggle to make real progress? They're doing the right things, they're attending the right seminars, but they're not making the right progress. It's because we're missing something.

Linton Bergsen:

There is a truth behind all of the noise. The greatest myth is that we need something outside of ourselves to be happy, healthy and wealthy. A secret formula, a silver bullet, something that just arrives out of the blue. We chase flashy ideas that at best give us momentary motivation, but overlook that internal powerhouse, that quiet power, that internal force, still small voice, intuition, available to us day after day for ourselves to use and exercise for what we want on an ongoing, consistent basis. At some point, everyone realizes this. Lasting change isn't about the grand gestures that we make. It's about what we do, bit by bit, every single day, consistently.

Linton Bergsen:

Let's pause for a moment, you and I, and contemplate this. What does self-realization really mean? On this journey of debunking myths, the true secret to wealth, health and happiness being self-realized. Self-realization isn't about becoming someone new. It's about awakening up to who you already are. You own yourself as your own resource. You learn to trust yourself and your feelings and your intuition. It's waking up that still small voice in you and listening to it on a consistent basis. The consistency is what gets you the result and helps you to learn on an ongoing basis to trust that voice more and more. When you act with integrity and intention, you align your deepest values and happiness follows naturally in your life.

Linton Bergsen:

This podcast is not about self-help, it's self-realization. It's about you having the courage to live consistently with your truest self. And the truth is, consistency is the bridge between your dreams and your reality. Contemplate on that for a moment. What you consistently do is what you become come. Consistency in whatever you do builds your good or your bad habits. Here is the principal idea of today's podcast episode. Consistency is the ongoing principle, building block and foundation of your wealth, your health and your happiness.

Linton Bergsen:

And when you contemplate that for a moment, think about this. Is wealth just luck or sudden windfalls, or is it created by simple habits, repeated every day, like saving a little, avoiding unconscious wasteful spending and investing wisely? If you're consistent about saving your money, consistent about not wasting money, consistent in investing wisely over the years, you can build some true financial stability. Little by little, step by step, brick by brick, you begin to consistently build your wealth. And if you look at health, health isn't won or gained by an extreme diet now and then or a sporadic workout when you feel like it. Of course not. It's built each and every day with your small choices. You can start, if you would like, with a short morning walk drinking more water. You can try even just getting to bed earlier every day, consistently over a period of time, and see how that affects your health. But, once again, it cannot be sporadic. It has to be something that you want to build upon day by day, night by night.

Linton Bergsen:

And even when you and I look at happiness, happiness thrives when you regularly consistently nurture yourself and your relationships. You express gratitude, you honor your values, your principles, your motivations, your goals. You do it consistently and build and build and build momentum through consistency. Consistency has energy behind it and when you see those results consistently, you get more motivated because you feel better and better and better. But it's not one big moment, it's a thousand little moments put together, stitched together, ongoing every day, consistently showing up for yourself, everyone else and things that are important to you. Consistency beats fleeting passion and ideas that just are here one day and gone the next, because consistency and persistence are two major keys for you developing your wealth, health and happiness on an ongoing, everyday basis.

Linton Bergsen:

Let me give you some everyday examples that you can use. Real life practical ways to apply consistency. Let's start out with wealth. Track your expenses five minutes every evening, it doesn't have to be a long time. Begin to spot patterns that you can disrupt to cut out unconscious, wasteful spending. Begin to auto-transfer a set amount to your savings account each payday, even if it's a small amount it could just be $5 to start. But get in the habit and establishing that consistently within your mind and your subconscious programming so it becomes a habit that you own on an ongoing basis if you can begin to do some research on the financial markets look on your computer see what the trends are, interest rates are heading just general financial information that can give you the ability to make informed decisions. And you can begin to make the habit consistently of doing that at some point during the day. Maybe have an app on your phone, something that's easy for you to review. Make that a consistent habit so you have some way of keeping up on the trends in the financial market so you can make informed decisions.

Linton Bergsen:

Let's take a look how you can work practically with your health. Take a 10-minute stretch break every morning when you wake up. Just get in the habit consistently of stretching. It'll make a difference to your body. It'll make a difference to your energy. It'll make a difference how you move. Do it consistently and you'll see consistent results. When you wake up in the morning, try and hydrate. Have a big glass of water, maybe with some lemon juice, and do that every day and get in the habit of doing that and that will help you to be hydrated first thing in the morning. Try and prepare at least one healthy meal per week and build up from there. Do that consistently and your health will improve dramatically.

Linton Bergsen:

Again, begin with small steps in everything you do. Small, consistent steps lead to big results if you are consistent with them. It doesn't have to be big steps, small, consistent steps. It's very important to understand and realize that. Let's look at practical steps for happiness. Send a quick thinking of you message to one friend every evening. When you lift them up, you will feel lifted up as well. There's a spiritual component to being consistent with what you're doing in your well-being and happiness and thinking of others consistently and their needs as well as your own.

Linton Bergsen:

You can list three things that you're grateful for in your notebook or on your phone, things that you feel make you really happy and you're grateful that they're there. And it doesn't have to be something extraordinary that you may come up with. You might just be happy that you can go out in the morning and you live in a place that you can take a nice walk, and if it's not that, it can be something else that's real simple in the morning. Because I do believe it's important to access that happiness in the morning that makes you feel happy. It sets the tone for your day. This one's important for your happiness, sometimes greatly overlooked.

Linton Bergsen:

Breathe, pause during the day to breathe deeply, center yourself, check in with yourself, how are you doing, what's going on with you, and always remember when you take these moments of quiet time alone to breathe. You could do it at lunchtime. You could take a walk off from a group of people that you're with just for a moment to take a deep breath and love yourself, be grateful for who you are, be happy with who you are. Your circumstances may not be perfect. Nobody's is. You may be having health problems, financial problems, or you may have no problems at all. God bless you. But whatever you're going through, whatever place you are in life, just take a quiet moment to thank yourself for you, appreciate who you are and be happy about who you are, because no one can do that for you but you.

Linton Bergsen:

Let's look how consistency really works in real life. Give you an example of how it affects everyday living. I knew a very busy executive who wanted to improve his life. He was a corporate executive, and what he did was he hired a trainer who wanted to work out more. He also realized that if you're working out more, you may want to change your diet to get the results that you would really want. So he changed his diet and he wanted to increase his finances. So he began to save regularly, step by step. What he was able to do was to increase balance in his life. His health supported his work, the money he was able to make freed up some of his time and he enjoyed deeper relationships. But the key here is he was consistent with his trainer, with his diet, and he saved regularly, step by step, to create the balance that he wanted in his life.

Linton Bergsen:

You can too. Here's the important point to contemplate. Life isn't changed by what you do for a week it never is. It's changed by what you do little by little over the days, weeks and years. Consistent action is the real secret to wealth, health and happiness, debunking the myth that it is any more complicated than that with fancy processes, words and ideas. Consistent action is the real secret, one that unlocks doors you thought were closed and reveals strengths that you never knew you had. The self-realized individual understands this. You are already enough. You don't have to become anything. You are your own resource. You are able to listen to yourself, use common sense and wisdom, and take action consistently. That will bring about the changes that you would want to have ongoing every day. You have everything you need to start right now. Just decide that you are going to be consistent and persistent in everything that you want to accomplish and achieve. Let's debunk the myths you and I, let's make every day count. The path to your wealth, health and happiness isn't flashy. It's found in everyday, ordinary moments where you show up with persistence and consistency. Begin today, take that single small step, then tomorrow take another one, the next day take another one that is the true secret to your success, consistent steps everyday and the world is waiting for your transformation. Remember, greatness is built day by day, step by step. Stay consistent, stay inspired and, most importantly, stay true to yourself.
