Linton Bergsen Episode 118

Awakening The Fulfilled Soul: Spiritual Power In Real Life.

Transform Daily Habits for Lasting Purpose and Impact.

What if fulfillment isn’t a trophy, but a daily practice you embody? In this episode of the Self Realized, Shatter Your Limits Podcast with me, Linton Bergsen, you’ll dive deep into six transformative layers of personal power—outer achievement, shadow-self, inner voice, spiritual source, real-life tensions, and the ripple effect that shapes the world around you. Through vivid real-life stories and practical exercises, you’ll learn how entrepreneurs, leaders, caregivers, and organizers tap both drive and grace to turn ordinary moments into lasting change.

Start by separating outcomes from meaning in your own journey. Face doubts with clarity and compassion using two breakthrough questions. Build daily habits that activate intuition and spiritual purpose, as well as discover rituals to quiet the mind and center your intentions. Practice balancing one concrete goal, with required actions, and three inner qualities to align ambition and discipline with a greater purpose.

As you integrate these layers, your presence will steady teams, deepen personal relationships, soften conflicts, and elevate daily life. Subscribe, share with someone needing a reset, and leave a review reflecting on the layer you’ll strengthen this week. You’re not just listening—you're rewriting your fulfillment story.

Linton Bergsen:

Welcome to the self-realized podcast with Linton Bergsen, where you will shatter your limits. I'm not much into the self-help industry as much as I'm into the self-realized individual, which is you, what matters most to you, how you get there, and the obstacles that may be in your way. If you would like to be part of this podcast and part of that discussion, I welcome you here with an open heart, open mind, and open mind. So without further ado let's get on with the podcast. Let us start today's episode with a question. What if the power you have been chasing was never outside of you? What if fulfillment was not a prize but a process, a layering, unfolding, a remembering of all you are? Welcome to the Self Realized, Shatter Your Limits Podcast, episode number 118, Awakening the Fulfilled Soul, Spiritual Power in Real Life. I am Linton Bergsen, and in this episode, we will be taking a deep voyage beneath ordinary wisdom. We'll peel back the layers of ambition, ego, love, pain, resilience, faith. What emerges from that is not just a stronger self, but a soul awakened, one that knows how to use both hands, one for building and one for blessing. Revealing a very simple truth. Human power can move mountains. Spiritual power moves hearts. Real life is where they meet and where your fulfillment is waiting. Let's breathe, take a deep breath together, and begin. Let us start with the outermost layer, the world of action, achievement, and ambition. This is where there is a lot of power and noise and movement. It's what gets jobs, promotions, applause, everyday things that we all aspire to as human beings. It's where you're taught to ask, how can I win? What can I get? And how far can I go? This layer is obviously not bad. Human power gets things done, it creates change, it solves problems, it brings certain ideas into form. But when you choose to only focus here, life can become a race and sometimes exhilarating, often, however, draining. For example, let's take Eric, a relentless entrepreneur that I knew. His energy electrified any room. He builds, he sells, he outpaced his rivals. But one evening, in his empty office, he wonders to himself, as we all do at times, if I stop, what do I have left? It is in that moment, it is in that quiet time, there is a call, the invitation for you to dig deeper. I'm going to give you an exercise. It is called the surface review that you can implement when you are not listening to the podcast. My suggestion is that you list your recent wins and your losses, and how you feel when you read each entry. Is your mood tied to the outcomes, the results, or something much deeper? What did you gain through the process of each win and each loss? And how did it affect your transformation and your personal development? When you review the list, notice the emotional residue that you are dealing with, the joy, the emptiness, the tension maybe. Layer one in any transformation is self-awareness. Do not judge what you're feeling when you review your list, just observe. Let's take a look now at layer number two of awakening the fulfilled soul. What I call the shadow. Ego, fear, defense. Underneath every achievement lies the layer of shadow. Here dwells ego, insecurity, and old wounds. Every human being carries this layer, even the best intentioned people. This layer asks this what if I am not enough? This is sometimes called imposter syndrome. I had a client whose name was Lisa. She was a very well-respected leader who resented team criticism. Her authority mattered so much because as a child, she felt she was never heard. Now, every disagreement reopens that wound. That subconscious shadow was living within her and was triggered by her team. Shadow is very subtle but extremely powerful and often unexamined. But only by moving through it, by addressing and seeing your fears without shame, can you rise to the next layer? I would like to give you an exercise now that you can use when you have time that will help you move through any shadows that you may have. Write down two moments this week when you felt defensive, threatened, or craving any type of recognition. Ask yourself this. What old story does this touch within me? What am I truly afraid of? Sit quietly and then just breathe into any discomfort, inviting compassion for yourself, because shadow can only dissolve through your conscious awareness, your own self-kindness, but never through force. Let us take a look now at layer number three in awakening the fulfilled soul, using your spiritual power in real life, which is your inner voice that allows you to align your life with integrity. Beyond shadow lies that deep voice within, that intuitive sense, that quiet voice that is speaking to you. The self-realized individual is always aware of that intuitive voice, that inner voice, that guiding light that is the bridge between your outer power and your own soul's wisdom. This is where fulfillment whispers to you through the intuitive voice. This voice does not shout, it doesn't demand, it doesn't shame. Instead, it just nudges you. Is this what matters? Do you feel peace? Who are you becoming? For a moment I'm going to ask you to imagine Chloe, a public speaker celebrated for her motivational talks. On stage Chloe felt very alive, but at home she was very quiet and introspective. The applause fades, and her soul began to ask gentle yet very persistent questions. And she began writing in her journal each morning. She was not seeking external validation. She was seeking something now much deeper. An internal resonance with her soul, with herself, which is the deepest journey of the self-realized individual. At this layer, you start acting not just for results and outcomes, but for meaning. You begin to have a dialogue with your soul. And I'm going to give you an exercise that allows you to begin that dialogue. When you have time, find a silent moment and ask yourself this question. What am I seeking beneath all of my achievements? What does fulfillment feel like in my body? When do I act from love and not fear? Then write the answers down without editing or judgment. Read them aloud. Feel their presence deep inside of you. This dialogue is a key to your soul's awakening, giving you the ability to use your spiritual power in real life. That leads us to layer number four. The source of all power in your life is your spiritual power. Spiritual power flows from something much deeper than personality or situations or circumstances. It's the felt sense of connection to purpose, to others, and to something much more sacred beyond the self. It manifests itself through a sense of something unexplainable in your life, a presence. It manifests through generosity, courage, and compassion. It is unfazed by any external shifts, and it steadies you through your storms in life. This power shows up as forgiveness, devotion, humility, and sometimes underestimated, creative inspiration. Let me share the story with you of Mikhail, a hospice worker who sits with dying patients. His words are few. His attention, however, is vast. Many families say he brings a peaceful force, a rare grounding that is real. He doesn't try to fix things, but what he does is he allows others to feel seen and held. Spiritual power is not passive. Many people make that mistake. It infuses everything you do, multiplying the effects of your many human talents. It is strength with softness, ambition without aggression, discipline with delight. I would like to share an exercise with you now that you can use when you have time. It's called Accessing the S ource. It's a very, very simple exercise, but very effective. Each morning, place your hand on your heart, then just breathe until all the static, all the busyness, all the restlessness begins to fade. Then ask yourself this question. What does the world need from me that only I can give today from my deepest truth? Then commit your first action of the day to this answer, however small. Let's move on now to layer number five, bringing everything together. I call it the intertwining, conflict, creativity, and fulfillment altogether. We all know that life is not a purity contest between the practical and the spiritual. Both must dance, sometimes in harmony, and sometimes there is tension. Real life conflicts are always inevitable. The teacher who must be both compassionate and structured, and the executive who must face layoffs with both empathy and depth. And I've seen that in real life. The parent balancing boundaries with unconditional love for their child. Multilayered fulfillment is forged in both conflict and resolution. You honor your ambition yet rest in knowing that you are more than enough. You strive for excellence, yet measure your success by integrity and growth. Consider Jamal a community organizer, fighting for justice. His days demand relentless human effort, but at night he meditates, releasing anger, restoring hope, recommitting to his purpose. The impact he makes flows not only from his strategies, but his spirit. It is important to have a meditation practice in order to connect with the divine and experience what true stillness and silence can bring to your life when you allow your body to relax and the senses to become quiet. That is when you begin to experience the essence of your soul and the power of your spirit. I'm going to suggest an exercise that you can do when you are alone and have a quiet moment. It allows you to align your human power and your spiritual power. Write down one goal you're chasing right now. Note the actions that are required. That is your human power. Next, list three inner qualities you want to embody on that journey. That is your spiritual power. Each day, pause to check. Are you balancing drive and grace? If you feel stuck, ask, what layer am I ignoring? Let's move on to the final layer of this episode, layer number six. I call the ripple effect, power beyond yourself. When you awaken all layers, your power ripples out. People feel it. You become a force for healing, inspiration, and growth. Not only in your own life, but also in the life of others, in everyone that you touch. Think of the doctor whose relaxed, present, bedside manner calms anxious families, or the coach whose belief in her athletes transcends scoreboards, or the friend who listens with trust and warmth, not advice. This is the ultimate fulfillment. Using all of your gifts woven through the blessings of your soul and spirit in service to a world always hungry for awakened souls. Breathe deeply and imagine each layer surface action, your shadow self, your inner voice, integrating into your life, strengthening you, your posture, the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you present yourself to the world, strengthening your spirit and giving you a great sense of purpose, meaning and fulfillment. Feel your ambitions becoming refined by compassion. Feel your fears being softened by acceptance. Feel your quiet truth guide all of your choices. Let all separation dissolve. Stand whole in your human power and your spiritual power, awakening the fulfilled soul within yourself and using all of your spiritual power in real life. Own this moment and be ready now to live an integrated, multi-layered, powerful life. In this episode, you've heard your power in all its forms, the seen and the invisible, the strong and the loving. Remember, every day gives you chances to live on all levels, to shatter limits, not only by force, but by truth and depth. You are multidimensional. You are ready.
